Tommy Hunt
Based in
Sacramento, California at the USAC Western
office, Mr. Hunt is the Vice-President for
Western Operations of the
United States Auto Club. Mr. Hunt was named to
the post in 1988. Prior to joining
USAC Tommy was the President of Hunt Magnetos,
the company founded by his late father,
legendary Indy car owner Joe B.
Hunt. Tommy raced sprints and midgets
between 1968 and 1978. He joined the
family business in 1964 and purchased the
company from his parents in 1982. Tommy also
served as a board member of the CRA prior to
becoming USAC Western States Supervisor in 1986.
Tommy's son Tony
has captured multiple championships in sprints,
midgets, stock cars, modified midgets and
quarter midgets. His wife Jeannie owns and
operates Simpson Sports, a business that caters
to the motorsports industry.
